ELITE Carbo Fuel Powder – Electrolytes | Developed with Team Denmark
Optimised 2:1 carbohydrate ratio. Complete electrolyte profile with 5 electrolytes. Purity-tested for elite sport.
During prolonged and high-intensity exercise, the body places extraordinary demands on the supply of energy, fluids, and electrolytes. The ability to maintain a stable carbohydrate availability and a well-functioning electrolyte and fluid balance is crucial for sustaining performance from start to finish.
ELITE Carbo Fuel Powder – Electrolytes has been developed through close scientific collaboration with Team Denmark and some of the country's leading endurance athletes. Featuring a documented 2:1 ratio of maltodextrin to fructose, along with a complete electrolyte profile consisting of sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and chloride, this product is specifically designed for athletes with the highest demands on their nutrition during training and competition.
Why choose ELITE Carbo Fuel Powder?
Optimised 2:1 carbohydrate ratio
The combination of maltodextrin and fructose utilises the body's two primary carbohydrate absorption pathways, thereby supporting a high rate of carbohydrate oxidation during prolonged exercise. The carbohydrates are distributed in a precise 2:1 ratio – approximately 2 parts maltodextrin to 1 part fructose.
Complete electrolyte profile – 5 electrolytes
The product contains the PurePower Electrolyte Blend – a targeted and proprietary composition of all five key electrolytes lost through sweat during training and competition. The electrolytes are included in bioactive forms to support optimal absorption.
| Electrolyte | Source |
|---|---|
| Sodium (Na) | Sodium chloride + Trisodium citrate |
| Chloride (Cl) | Sodium chloride + Potassium chloride |
| Potassium (K) | Potassium chloride |
| Calcium (Ca) | Calcium lactate |
| Magnesium (Mg) | Magnesium citrate |
Support the talents of tomorrow
For every purchase of a PurePower ELITE product, 10% of the revenue is donated to Team Denmark's talent development fund. You invest not only in your own performance but also in the development of future Danish elite athletes.
Informed Sport Certified
The product is batch-tested for substances prohibited in sport by the independent laboratory LGC (Informed Sport). Complete confidence for elite athletes and anyone who demands the highest standards of purity.
The science behind it: Why a 2:1 ratio?
The body has a natural limit to how much glucose (for example from maltodextrin) it can absorb per hour because the glucose transporters (SGLT1) become saturated. By adding fructose in a 2:1 ratio, a separate intestinal transport pathway (GLUT5) is activated, allowing for a higher total carbohydrate absorption per hour. This supports sustained energy availability during prolonged and intensive exercise [1].
Dosage – tailor to your energy needs
The product can be individually adapted according to exercise intensity, duration, and sweat rate. Below are two guideline scenarios based on recommended carbohydrate intake per hour.
| 60 g carbohydrate/hour | 90 g carbohydrate/hour | |
|---|---|---|
| Powder per hour | 65 g | 97 g |
| Water per hour | ~900–1000 ml | ~1400–1600 ml |
| Energy | ~239 kcal | ~358 kcal |
| Sodium (Na) | 576 mg | 864 mg |
| Potassium (K) | 249 mg | 373 mg |
| Calcium (Ca) | 80 mg | 121 mg |
| Magnesium (Mg) | 45 mg | 68 mg |
| When | Moderate intensity, shorter duration | High intensity, prolonged duration, hot conditions |
An intake of 60 g of carbohydrate per hour is suitable for activities of moderate intensity and shorter duration, where the body primarily relies on the glucose transporters (SGLT1) operating at full capacity.
An intake of 90 g of carbohydrate per hour is targeted at athletes exercising at high intensity and for prolonged periods. In this scenario, both transport pathways are fully utilised, allowing the combined 2:1 ratio to be used optimally. This level is particularly recommended in hot conditions and during periods of high sweat loss, where electrolyte requirements are also elevated.
